Chilean wine expert and journalist Patricio Tapia was one of three members of the tasting panel of the renowned British magazine, describing Maycas del Limarí Quebrada Seca 2013 as “a complex, unique Chardonnay. Mineral notes hang together with fresh fruit and herbal tones. It is imposing on the palate, with bright acidity and tense tannins”.
Scoring 18.5/20 (equivalent to 95/100 points), this wine shows the potential of the Limarí Valley and the Quebrada Seca vineyard specifically, as the origin of fresh, mineral and elegant wines.
This is also a recognition to the consistent proposal led by winemakers Marcelo Papa and Javier Villarroel along with their teams and the winery’s agricultural area, producing wines representatives of the “magic” of Limarí.
